In a Nutshell
- An introductory 4×4 off road experience in a Land Rover Discovery in very challenging terrain testing the vehicle to its design limits!
- A shared team experience for one, with up to two other drivers plus BORDA Approved Instructor.
- British Off Road Driving Association (BORDA) Member site and BORDA Specialist Trainer Instructors.
After a safety briefing, induction to 4×4 driving and demonstration drive from the Instructor, you will take control of the iconic Land Rover Discovery on challenging terrain used for training professional of road drivers including the utility, emergency and rescue services. Off road driving and general adverse weather driving skills and techniques are covered in the course.
Please expect to be on site for one and a half hours. Please arrive around 15 minutes prior to booked start to ensure a prompt start.

*An introductory off-road driving lesson in a Land Rover Discovery in very challenging terrain testing the vehicle to its limits!
*An experience for couples including your BORDA Instructor
*British Off Road Driving Association (BORDA) Member site and BORDA Specialist Trainer Instructors
*After a safety briefing, induction to 4X4 driving and demonstration drive from an Instructor you will take control of the iconic Land Rover ‘Disco’ on challenging terrain used for training professional off road drivers including the utility, emergency and rescue services.
Availability Description – At least one weekend day per month. Dates fill quickly, please allow at least six weeks advance booking notice.
Participant Guidelines – Minimum height 5’0 maximum height is 6’4, Maximum weight is 18 stone. Medical conditions must be disclosed at time of booking.
Duration – Expect to be on-site for one hours including a briefing and 15 minutes driving the Land Rover. Please arrive around 15 minutes prior to booked start time to ensure a prompt start.
Numbers on the Day – Sharing the Land Rover with your partner and a BORDA Approved Instructor.
Dress Code – Dress comfortably with suitable outdoor clothing, and please wear suitable flat-soled shoes or walking boots. The site is usually extremely wet and muddy!
Ultra 4X4 Off Road Driving Training Course 1/2 A Day For One
In a Nutshell
- An introductory Off Road Driving experience in A LandRover Discovery in very challenging terrain testing the vehicle to its limits!
- A shared team experience of up to two fellow drivers plus BORDA Approved Instructor.
- British Off Road Driving Association (BORDA) Member site and BORDA Specialist Trainer Instructors.
- Advanced vehicle control for difficult off road terrain.
- Skills for both off and on road.
- Adverse weather conditions.
The day starts with a breakfast / lunch and an introduction to off road driving theory. After a demonstration drive from the instructor you will receive training in a Land Rover Discovery on challenging terrain used for training professional 4×4 drivers including utility, emergency and rescue services. The emphasis is on building driver knowledge and skills.
Please expect to be on site for three to three and a half hours. Please arrive around 15 minutes prior to booked start to ensure a prompt start.
